🌎 Our incense is packaged in resealable cellophane bags rather than plastic bags. Cellophane is derived from natural sources such as wood, while plastic wrap is made from oil. Only about 12 percent of all U.S. plastic bags and plastic-wrap packaging is recycled. The consumption rate of plastic is hundreds of times that of cellophane, and the sheer volume of waste is overwhelming.
While we realize that there are downsides to the production of cellophane, we favor it over plastic because it is a biodegradable material that can simply be composted at home 💚 ♻.
